Palazzo IBS Show House

Nationwide Custom Homes

Nationwide is once again creating a spectacular house for the 2008 International Builder Show. The Palazzo will be the talk of the show and further extend the design capabilities of modular construction and design. The three story craftsman inspired house has over 5,700 square feet and there are numerous new features throughout this home that you might not expect.

The first Impression

From the first time you walk up to the home you will notice the large front porch with synthetic decking and large columns that lead you to a large-radius solid wood front door. Upon entry you will find a multi-angled front stairway with iron railings that leads up to the open area of the second floor. A rock accent wall will catch the eye and the elevator will leave you amazed!

A kitchen that will impress the most demanding professional cook

The kitchen has features that rival the finest restaurants. Included are a commercial inspired gas range, double wall ovens and a warming drawer, an enormous refrigerator with a separate freezer, ice maker and wine cooler. The commercial grade sink is great and the separate bar sink adds to the convenience of the entire layout. Other features included are granite counter tops, glass cabinetry, a baker center, turn table legs and support brackets on cabinetry along with a decorative tile back splash, lot’s of storage and three piece crown moulding. This design will be a center for all types of celebrations with family and friends.

A truly master suite Moving up to the master suite the large bedroom features plenty of natural light that will accentuate the trey ceiling and crown moulding. The bedroom like many other rooms in the house includes built in surround sound. The walk in closet includes custom shelving with a center island area for additional storage. The master bath has enough features to make you want to stay for the entire day. A spacious whirlpool is positioned on its own platform. The glass block shower includes multiple shower heads and body sprayers. His and her vanities make sure that there is enough room for everything and the full sized stacked washer and dryer make laundry convenient and easy to access at any time.

Additional rooms with additional features

All around the house you will find rooms with unique features and accents. The theater has been insulated for sound and the glass block accent walls make a unique impression. Wired for surround sound and a projection screen, this will truly be a personal home theater.

Other features include wet bar with a wine cooler, ice maker, microwave and sink. A study that has brick accent walls, wall to wall built-in bookcases and French doors that lead to the deck. Upstairs there are three additional bedrooms that have custom wood shelving and a flex space of 960 square feet will allow for a number of opportunities to create any space a homeowner wants.

What Customers are Saying About Our Custom Homes

"I was a customer for Southeast Homes (Wendell Varnes) in 2010/2011. Mr. Varnes was referred to us through Nationwide Homes. The project was a 3/2 coastal, 2 story-2,100 square foot modular home built on piers.

We were building a part time home in South Carolina but our home state is Georgia. We were nervous about the process since we were out of state and not readily available to be on site. Mr. Varnes made this process very smooth and he was easy to work with. He would always interject his ideas and suggestions throughout the process. We only have to meet a couple of times throughout the entire process. We handled communication via the phone and/or email.

The modular home turned out beautifully and more importantly well built. The home was built to code and all permits and inspections were done with no issues. There were some "punch list" items as you will on any new construction and those items were taken care of timely.

Mr. Varnes has good solid employees/contractors that he uses for various stages such as plumbing, sheetrock, paint, electrical, roofing...etc. I personally met many of the subs at the job site and was very comfortable with them and their work.

Mr. Varnes still has a key to my home, even though it is done for some afterthought items I wanted to get done. I have full trust and confidence in him. Mr. Varnes is a man with integrity, ethics and morals and I highly recommend him for any construction job."
